Committees
ACCCO Cares
ACCCO Cares is the philanthropic arm of ACCCO. Our mission is to encourage and coordinate the efforts of the local HVAC industry professionals through charitable, community-oriented projects that help a diverse group of underprivileged throughout the area. To date, we have given close to $50,000 to projects and programs in the Central Ohio area.
Clay Shoot
ACCCO hosts a spring and fall clay shooting event each year at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio. The events serve as a great networking opportunity for contractors and their vendors and includes a post shooting tailgate.
Golf Outing
ACCCO hosts its annual golf outing in late August each year at some of Central Ohio’s premier golf courses. The event serves as a great networking opportunity for contractors and their vendors and typically includes lunch, dinner, round of golf, and prizes. The outing is a major fundraiser for the association.
Hall of Honor
The ACCCO Hall of Honor Program was established in 1991 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to the HVACR industry and have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, excellence, and responsibility in areas of social concern. Biannually, ACCCO bestows this honor upon outstanding community leaders.
Code
The ACCCO Code Committee is here to help keep our member contractors and associates advised of code changes within national, state, and local governments and to assist with forwarding information when available.
Heat the Town!
Each year ACCCO and its members volunteer their technicians, trucks, and resources to provide heating assistance to less fortunate homeowners in Columbus who could not otherwise afford to have their heating systems cleaned and checked. Since 2004, close to 2,250 recipients in Columbus have received the services offered through this program.
Membership & Marketing
The Membership & Marketing committee’s purpose is to increase ACCCO membership by informing HVAC professionals and the communities they serve of the opportunities and benefits ACCCO provides. Committee members shape and guide a variety of marketing and communication initiatives to this end. The committee is composed of board members and is open to any member in good standing. Committee meetings are called on an as needed basis.
Programs
One of the many benefits your ACCCO membership entitles you to, is continuing education. And our committee strives to provide interesting and entertaining topics each month. The Program Committee is made up of Board members who contact potential presenters, and invite them to attend (and present their information) at our monthly luncheons. Each presentation provides 1 CEU credit for all attendees (toward your annual HVAC license requirements). If you do not need a CEU, the presentations provide increased knowledge which benefits you every day in communication with your customers. We welcome any feedback from our Membership, to improve and grow our presentation topic selections.
Trade Show
ACCCO holds its annual Business Development and Trade Show in late January each year. This networking event provides our associate members with the opportunity to promote their business to HVAC contractors and technicians in Central Ohio. Contractors also have the opportunity to earn CEU credit by attending.
